The Begining... Will Never End ;)

Finally.... It's The Time.

It's finally the time for work.... The time for project One World to announce it's exsistance at Gujarat Public School.

One World, One Target, One School... But Different Countries. it's actually what's happening now in GPS as peoject "one world" started it's first 2 sessions, its one target which is raising cultural awareness through different activities and presentations, it's one school as we are giving our presentations in one school which is GUJARAT PUBLIC SCHOOL (GPS)/Baroda/India. And logically it's different countries as there are alot of interns coming from different countries around the globe just for sending peace message & hopes for the future.

So... The Project has started and the passion & enthusiasm is actually filling the space.

16 interns are representing 9 countries, Full of information and cultural awareness... A target looking for the students awareness of the other cultures and other countries and other people, how do they live! how do they think! how do they deal with one another, It's a place connecting 9 cultures with the indian cultures and vise-versa, one place sending message to the whole world, and certainly to India... That co-existance can happen under one roof and that the Globe is just a thing... It's just ONE WORLD.

The gujarat public school students are such an awesome ones, they are full of energy, full of enthusiasm, and very passionate of knowing more about the world, and they really look for this and strive for getting it.

And sure with the help of the interns and their hard work all day & night just for the interest of those students, and also for their own interest of representing their countries the best way.

It Took hard times of preparations and in getting ready to the up-coming event (ONE WORLD), the interns have spent alot of time preparing their materials, getting more information about their culture, costumes & life.

The presentations have started, every country has been talking about it's culture, history, costumes... Everything related to their country and way of life.

Not just powerpoint presentations... But Project On-World interns are creating games & Movies and shows just to make the sessions not boring and to attract the students as much as possible.

And Even Dances.....

The Represantations of the 9 Countries were really amazing during the 1st two days, they showed alot of things about their countries... A brief introduction about every country was givin by them.

Such dances and events marked the beginning of a Project, the Project One World within AIESEC Baroda in 2006. And it is such "ethnic" dances and events that enthrall and grip People's attention and excitment for other cultures and traditions.

Opening Conference

Yesterday it was a big day; it was the opening conference for the project.
It was a very special event for me because it was my first time to be responsible for such a big event in AIESEC.

I am very happy to feel the support of AIESEC Baroda members and participation in the conference. I also am proud of Dasha and Darshan for all their effort and facilitation in the conference. I am very thankful to the interns for sharing their feelings and thoughts with everybody. I am thankful to everyone who helped with the organization of this conference, to GPS for their participation and support, and to everyone who attended this conference.

Warm regards,
Ahmed Younis

About the Russian Holi party!

Last Saturday it was one of the best parties I had in my life!
We had a russian "holi" party which is basically a holi with water instead of colors.
We had a fight between 2 teams using water baloons and water buckets and more ..
At the end every one was completely wet. I even could not take any pictures during the fight to protect my camera from water; however I took videos before and after the fight! Then Dasha cooked russian blins for us. You can have it with jam or condensed milk but I enjoyed having it with a mixture of both :-)

Now I feel that we are not Coordinators, Interns and Members. We are all friends!

Guys, how did you feel about this party?!

Rain and some thoughts

Hey, guys! Good news! We start our blog "One World". Now we can share our emotions and feelings with each other during the project. Everyone can upload some photos or pictures. Let's make this blog interesting and useful!
10 July
Project starts. It's raining... No hint at sun and good weather! Maybe I am a little bit disappointed because I can't go anywhere and work hard. Rain hinders from work and any activity. But we should be proactive and try to do the best for the project. We should make every effort to remain in children's memory as ambassodors of our countries in good way. Only we ourselves may do this project unforgettable. That is why rain is not obstacle:)! It tests our ability to be proactive, enthusiastic and successful. To see friendly children's faces, to speak with them about your country - what may be better? I think these two months will be very bright, diverse, incredible!
